Backyard Transformation with Pool and Outdoor Living in Great Bridge

Timeline: 3 months Design & Planning: The primary design challenge was fitting several distinct outdoor-living features into one cohesive plan while preserving the backyard’s existing functions. The pool, expansive paver patio, raised entertaining area, outdoor kitchen, fire feature, landscaping, lighting and water features all needed to work together without making the space feel crowded. Careful planning was also required to coordinate elevations, drainage, utility connections and circulation between the home, pool and surrounding entertainment areas. Materials Used: We used an Imagine Pools Fantasy 30 fiberglass pool shell in Beach Sand, installed on a #68 stone base with #57 stone backfill and a concrete lock-in collar. The pool features Jandy equipment, including a variable-speed pump, CV340 cartridge filter, VersaFlo natural-gas heater, iAquaLink automation and Infinite WaterColors LED lighting. Additional features include a Nature2 Fusion Soft saltwater system, four illuminated Jandy laminar jets, two CMP sheer-descent waterfalls and a Polaris Freedom cordless robotic cleaner. The surrounding outdoor-living space incorporates Belgard Marina coping in Bourbon; Belgard Dimensions pavers in Hickory and Bourbon; Belgian Cobble in Moonlight; and Melville wall block. The project also includes Trex Transcend Lineage decking, New Caledonia granite, Fire Magic and Memphis outdoor-kitchen appliances, Coastal Source landscape lighting and outdoor audio, an aluminum fence, and complementary landscaping. What Made This Project Unique: This project was unique because it was much more than a pool installation. It was a complete backyard transformation that combined a fiberglass pool with illuminated laminar jets, sheer-descent waterfalls, an outdoor kitchen, raised platform, fire feature, extensive hardscaping, professional landscape lighting and an outdoor audio system. Every element was designed to function as part of one connected outdoor-living environment. What Set This Project Apart: What sets this project apart is the level of integration and attention to detail throughout the entire backyard. Solid Structures managed the pool, hardscaping, outdoor kitchen, utilities, lighting, audio, fencing and landscaping as one coordinated project. Features such as the illuminated water jets, color-changing pool lighting, custom Belgard hardscape layout and fully equipped entertaining area create a dramatic nighttime experience while remaining practical for everyday family use. It demonstrates our ability to deliver a truly turn-key outdoor-living project instead of simply installing a pool.
